Hi All,

Greetings for sunny Northland, New Zealand. We've spent the last 3 months surviving with 1 x 3.2KwH LiFePO4 battery and are now in a position to get another.

I'm thinking to install some more PVs while I'm at it and hope that someone can check my set up. We currently have;

6 x 410w CSUN panels aasolar.co.nz/product/410w-mono-perc-half-cell/ (Impp = 10.13A, Isc = 10.52A, Imp = 9.82A) in series

MPPSolar PIP-5048MG http://www.mppsolar.com/v3/catalogs/PIP-MS_MG.pdf all in one

and PylonTech US3000 https://aasolar.co.nz/product/pylontech-us3000-lithium-battery/

I'm looking to get 4 more panels and switch to 2 strings of 5 panels each. This would mean the Voc drops from about 300v to 250v, but the Imp doubles to nearly 20A. I thought I'd read somewhere that the maximum charge for the Inverter was 18A, but I must be wrong because I can't see it anywhere, and the brochure seems to say 80A.

Any other obvious (or not obvious) issues that any one can spot?

It's been really interesting learning to live with what the sun gives us (totally off grid here), and we've only had a few hours of no generation and low battery charge. Luckily we've had a great summer this year! Days are now getting shorter but 2.4kw of panels charges nice and fast!

Cheers
