Hi Everyone, Ive been lurking on this forum for quite a while and I'd like to thank everyone in advance for their knowledge and expertise - and for the kind help.

So this is what I'm doing, I have a small lake that I will be running 2 small aerators to keep an open area for the trout - to help them through the winter. This is the equipment I have.

2X thernova 500W TS-SW66 panels, VOC 45.43, Short Circuit 13.85, VMP 37.41, MPP 13.37, max sys voltage 1500, max rated fuse current 25

Inverter. WZRELB Reliable Design Pure Sine Wave Inverter DC to AC 24VDC Input 120VAC Output Off Grid Backup Power Supply Power Converter, (RBP60024B1). https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B078MPY477?...fed_asin_title

Controller. Solar Charge Controller 80A PWM 12V 24V 1920W Solar Panel Charger Discharge Regulator with 5V. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B083KN9H22?...fed_asin_title
Battery protector. Victron Energy BatteryProtect 12/24-Volt 65 amp

4 x 6V costco golf cart batteries wired to 24V ...trojan t105 knock offs.

So my goal is to run a 55w and 18w aerator for as long as I can during the course of a day in the winter. Im in Ottawa Ontario Canada area.

I was planning on using the Victron BP switch to simply shut down the inverter when the batteries hit a min voltage so I dont fry them--(freeze). But upon more research I see that the victron BP wont like being shut down and reconnect daily .

So is there an option for a low voltage cutoff I can use?

I do have 110v timers I can plug into the inverter to control the amount of time I run the aerators but Id like to run them to the max to keep the ice off.

Thoughts?

Many thanks.

Loui

$85 for a PWM controller? Any reason you're not using a MPPT for that money? You'll only get 780-ish watts out of your 1000w of panel with the PWM.

The inverter says it has low voltage cutoff, is that not going to be good enough for some reason?

What about getting one of the day/night sensors and wiring it into the pump feed so the pumps only work when the sun is up?

Use the DC load terminals on the charge controller to operate a relay dedicated to the aerators. Set voltages to your preferences.
