Lowest cost ul1973 listed LiFePo4 48V Batteries

Hi all

I'm looking to add batteries to my dual EG418KPV system, currently operating in grid tied mode. I'd like to end up with north of 60kwh to allow for several days off grid autonomy (we just came off a 3 day outage from Helene).

I was going to go DIY but I just found out my county has recently adopted NEC 2017 which requires listed batteries (unless lead acid).

Indoor application with limited wall space so the EG4 wall mounts are not really a good option for me, and they're pretty expensive (relative to DIY). The available iisted rack mounts would appear to be even more spendy.

Battery heat is preferred but not required.

Any suggestions for me?

Cheapest ($/kWh) UL9540 battery I see is the EG4 Powerpro. You don't have to mount it on the wall.

The 5kWh rack batteries are more expensive on a $/kWh basis. Plus you need to add the rack and additional wiring.

Thanks. Hadn't seen the Mindnites before. I don't really require the outdoor rating but they look interesting.

It sounds like you're maybe suggesting I don't mount the units against the wall to save space. Right angle to the wall with the breaker side facing out? Any idea how much space front to back would be required for reasonable access to the front panel display?

The Midnite rack mounts look interesting. They are self racking and at good price point. They fit my space better than the wall mounts do. No heat is a negative but I can just add a small space heater in my battery "closet". And I don't have to figure out how to move 300lb boxes around.

Can anyone confirm that they communicate with the EG4 18kpv's?
