Lubricate rubber jacket of wire to go through a cable gland

So this will not be a formal wire pull per say. Trying to fit a piece of wire with a rubber coating via a cable gland. It will be a snug fit and I only need to feed about 12 inches so I can do some wiring in a box.

Most lubricants say not to use on a rubber jacket. Looking for a suggestion. Thank you in advance.
 
This actually worked out nicely once I reversed the direction of the gland with the dialectric grease. It is still water tight but may still put a coat of RTV on the seam as a precaution.

On a related note, Had a project that used 1/2 inch Liquid Tite. Found out that 1/2 creates a perfect tight bond when positioned inside of 3/4 Liquid Tite.
