Luyuan battery case

So now Alibaba says all my cells were delivered since FedEx uses some "master" tracking number for all the boxes that are shipped together. As long as the master one was delivered then all of them delivered even though their own system says one of the boxes wasn't delivered. This is messed up.
I had some cells from Gobel that were the same, some arrived one day and the remaining a day later.

This would be my biggest fears, my smallish order was 8 boxes total, each one was numbers 1 of 8, 2 of 8.

I think your beef is going to be with fed ex for them to admit they haven’t delivered a box and go through fed ex for reimbursement.

Rhino, I had a box get separated but it did show up. Hopefully you will get it today.

Got me wondering why don't these get shipped via freight on a pallet in the USA? Would be assured to keep everything together. Some of the Luyuan pics even show the battery boxes within a wood box for shipping on a pallet.

Gotta keep costs down. For a 280+Ah size battery you really need a pallet because at a certain point a lightly padded card board box won't get the job done.

I'm going to move next to Zwy, just so I can borrow his fork lift. :)
It comes in handy. I've owned it over 25 years now.

I used it Saturday with the scaffolding wiring the array. Still haven't finished it yet. Saves on freight too, no need for drop gate service charge.

FedEx now officially says they lost the cells and says Alibaba/Amy has to file claim with FedEx.. I left her a message stating that's what they said.. anybody have to do that before? Hopefully that is correct procedure. and how do you lose a box of 280Ah LiFePO4 cells?? Wonder if they were damaged and they just aren't saying such.

That sucks. Damaged and not lost seems to be a reasonable excuse.

Possibly a dumb question but here goes:

The front face of the Luyuan battery box has a red light on. Pretty sure that's the "error" light that is set by the BMS. Is there a simple way to clear the light? Or do I have to connect my laptop to BMS to clear it? I didn't see anything in the JK screen or the JK app. No "Clear error" button. I looked through the logs a couple months ago and the light may have been illuminated from something there, but I think the battery is running fine, it's just a sticky error.

The BMS throws an error and if not displayed on the LCD Screen (errors tab) have a look in the Phone App to see what it is. Some errors cannot be cleared from the BMS "IF" it is a JK Inverter model. For example [le, I am 8S so only use 2 Temp Sensors instead of the 4, this in turn generates an error that 2 temp sensors are OFF. Stuck with that because the stupid software can't disable the unused sensors and is too dumb to not resolve there is no cells (sense leads) and therefore no sensor. There are a few other "Notice Errors" that can't be cleared either.

I don't recall seeing an errors tab on the LCD screen. I may have glossed over that.

Sorry, I said "errors" its "alarms"
The error for the missing temp sensors is not displayed on the errors tab of my screens either, just in the Phone & PC apps.
I have the 4.3" screens, there are 3 tabs on the bottom [status] [voltage] [alarms]

Total bummer, keep us updated how it’s resolved. Hopefully new cells can be shipped out, but still 8-12 week lead time before delivery is tough.

Finally put one of these boxes together. Awesome project. Overall very pleased. I feel like I have the safety of a commercial product (not taking that for granted) but I can maintain/repair it myself.

My only complaints would be that some of the black coating wants to flake off on the inside and that one of the risers the BMS input board connects to was shorter than the rest. Quality control is definitely somewhat of a minor problem.

Yeah been there, wire wheeled and painted

When brought to luyauns attention they offered 10% off my next order, not sure of the experation date of that coupon.

Am I correct that the arrangement of the cells nearest the front against the front compression plate using a JK Inverter BMS and 16S box should be -+-+?

Start with your back cells knowing those need to connect cells 8 to 9, then work forward. I had my main positive and negative close to centerline, like Awpa shows in the pictures above.

I have mine from right to left as +-+-

It depends on the BMS and how that is mounted. In my video you can see how I routed the cables.

Okay.. I watched your video again and you have the older JK BMS.. and then did come across the video from Luyuan showing installation using JK Inverter BMS version and have the cells how I have it arranged.. thanks for the input.
