Luyuan battery case

Sorry, I said "errors" its "alarms"
The error for the missing temp sensors is not displayed on the errors tab of my screens either, just in the Phone & PC apps.
I have the 4.3" screens, there are 3 tabs on the bottom [status] [voltage] [alarms]

Nothing listed in the alarms tab. I'll have to connect the laptop eventually.

The JK BMS screen reverted to Chinese. Took me a bit to figure out how to switch back to English. I'm looking at mine upside down so it isn't the easiest to read.

Bellow is 8S setup, with JKBMS 200A Inverter BMS (V15 hardware) identical to 16S with EVE 280's in these pics.
Pic-1 shows BMS with (-) attached to cell. Pic-2 Top View also shows (+) for Breaker & other wires attached.

On the screen there is a little JK LOGO on the Top Right, press that to change from Chinese to English (future ref for others)
Yes, seems some "errors" are not displayed on the Screens. Dunno why, likely an omission in the firmware.
On mine, the Phone App (droid) just shows a Yellow msg that tells me my sensors are off. Just like that "Change Password" notification. The PC App is similar and has nothing to do with it, it's "informational" only.

WARNING, there are a few different PC App versions floating about. I don't know where the most current is. I am using jk-bms-monitor-2.9.0.0 with the EXE date of 3/19/2024 which was sent to me via my Alibaba network of folks. 50MB so I can't post it here. This version fixed several bugs in previous version.

SADLY, this version still does not allow you to save a BMS profile so that it can be uploaded to other BMS'.

NOTE:
This site is "back up" but the stuff there is very Dated now. (not even sure if it is Genuine JiKong - see the nightmare thread)
Most current Droid App is here (possibly on Googleplay too) https://www.pgyer.com/Cfq3

Hope it Helps, Good Luck

Does the large yellow sheet included and shown being attached to the cover have some sort of clear sheet on it to expose sticky tape? For the life of me I can't seem to feel or see anything that can peel off.

The large yellow sheet for my Luyuan box is laid on top of the cells. It just sits there. I added a piece of ~1" foam on top of the yellow sheet. That seems to be enough padding between the yellow sheet and the cover to keep it from moving while the RV is bouncing down the road.

I found that two sided gorilla tape does a nice job of holding it to the lid as well

I mistakenly assumed B0, B1, etc started with the cells on the left side when they actually have to start on the right side.. so had to redo attaching all those leads... lesson learned for next one :) Also not sure I'm happy with leaving the leads uncut so there is all that excess in front of case that you have to deal with.

I cut mine and the JK does note the change in resistance.

B0, B1..... are always started at the negative terminal.

I cut my jk BMS leads to leave a little “service loop” but also allowed them to be laid in the top bar plastic loom.

I was thinking of trying the Dihool breakers.. I see they do make a 125A in the black newer version but am unable to locate source for it. The Amazon listing only goes down to 160A. Someone know how to get the 125A version?

Although the newer 160A Dihool breaker is on sale for only $73 on Amazon now. What exactly will happen with a short when my JK Inverter BMS is only the 150A version and I have 160A breaker? I would expect less then 100A through this battery in normal operating conditions because of all the other batteries I have in parallel.

I think you'll be OK. It would be "nice" to see the breaker sized for the worst case scenario (150 amp x 1.25). But if you know that your load will never exceed 100 amps then you're in the right range.

The white Dihool X series have a good AIC rating. I have them.
Still can't get even those in the 125A version which I'd prefer from Amazon.

I did find that you can order them directly here: https://www.nsbjd.com/collections/100-800a-dc-circuit-breaker
Shipping method says "Heavy Good Shipping" for $44.76. I asked them how much time that takes to ship from USA so I can get my preferred 125A version.

The 125A version also is smaller than the 160A version. It almost looks like it is possible it would fit mounted in the box.

Keep in mind the small breakers inside will get too hot, for my taste at least. Even if they are 200 of 250A rated. The mccb will be much better. I removed the mcb inside the boxes and use 3x single pole mccb 250A from Nanque.

This is only with 130-140A !

One advantage of 24v. The breaker on my battery box will serve as a shut off. Using a MRBF at the bus bar for each battery. Plus since I am using 4 batteries in parallel the amount of power going through each battery is less.

Yeah I’m very happy that my max current draw is only 50a per battery right now (also 24v). It’ll only drop more if I decide to snag another case which I don’t really need but slowly convincing myself.

Completely understand. I upgraded to a 4th battery this year. Turns out some of the older CATL cells have seen better days. Will be moving them to another 12v project. Scheduled to get another batch of Amy cells early next week to update the box.

I noticed what looks like very small white plastic acorn nuts in with the screws and ring lugs, what are those for?

I have to decide what to do about my 2 cells that were lost by FedEx and shipped from Luyuan. Amy is either offering to refund for about $180 or ship new ones which will take at least 45 days. What would you guys do? Main point of having these extra batteries was for winter.

What kind of cell? You may be able to find a couple in the US.

I have two extra EVE 280's.

What will $180 do for you?

You gonna buy 2 cells from 18650 and know those cells wont be 100% as good as the others?

I’d have luyaun reship and wait.

That's crazy FedEx lost 2 cells. Not a tiny lightweight box to lose.
Maybe they dropped it in a ditch or something stupid.

FedEx and UPS should just merge already and rename themselves FedUP.
