Luyuan battery case

Putting Prismatic cells on their sides is a TERRIBLE idea !
That has been talked about and beaten to death a 100 times and the dead horse keeps getting dug up.
Your Decision/Choice & YOUR RISK, LIABILITY and CONSEQUENCES.
Product Floggers and those getting Sales Percentages don't give a snot about it as long as they get their bit of coin.
People have had fires, leakages resulting from cells popping valves and oozing out leading to shorts and worse... We've had people post photo's & the bad results here which even included Name Branded CRAP that failed because of bad design and terrible implementation.

Remember the MOST IMPORTANT THING !
YOU are responsible for YOUR CHOICES and any/all Consequences that arise from them.

wanting to save room in the garage and mount on a sill plate and strap to the wall (15/32” plywood with Hardie backer)
I personally would consider another option. Also keep in mind temperature control issues. In my part of the world would need to consider extreme cold in winter and heat of summer.

sorry to hit a nerve there.. I'll just stack em in the normal horizontal manner on top of one another as long as they are rated to do so or simply get a server rack to hold them

Shouldn't be an issue. I have installed a 18K btu mini split in my garage. Perfect 70F all year round now and powered by the solar system.

Hit a nerve, I guess so maybe. But I have been at this a LONG Time and not just "in here". I've seen geniuses think they knew better than engineers, designers & the "Brains" of the tech and fought against their advice and do what they thought best.... Then when things inevitably go bad, they Blame everyone/anyone else cause THEY screwed up but never ever themselves. Even down to "But the salesman said so" assuming that a flogger knows jack chit about what they are flogging.

NOW, If you had a Wall Mounted Battery System using Cylindrical LFP Cells that is another matter, just as if it was NMC/NCA or LTO chemistries.

Would anyone put a Sealed Lead Acid battery on it's side & expect no issues ? Some have tried it, not once did it end well.

LFP loves being at 25C/77F which is "THE" op[timal temp for the chemistry. It is perfectly fine from 10C/50F up to 40C/104F but they will behave a slight bit differently on the edges of course, such as slower charging or increased imbalance between cells but NOT crazily wild either, go beyond those limited & thing do get WEIRD ! In Winter I leave the powerhouse set to 13C/55F and yes the cells deviate more when below 20% SOC (true) and are a little slower to Balance out to 0.005mv difference with at 100% SOC (true) but they always do without fail.

I’m starting to get an itch first another 24v 280 case with a jk 200a BMS. I ordered last may with a July delivery.

What’s the latest for reports on people who’ve ordered for Amy?

Just got mine recently. Very nice. She is now drilling holes in the raceway for placement and the large cross bus bar looks tinned.

I’m getting ready to start assembling the 12 cases I got last year, keep having the itch to order more but the bank account has taken a hit ordering my inverters, buss bars and 1000amp shunts.

See, I should have just ordered 12 cases and cellls last year and I’d have nothing to want.

Yeah, I asked about a tinned cross bus bar... wasn't available when I purchased, but got word it was available shortly after the shipment left their office ;)

So she quoted Eve 314ah cells (m6 studs) and the case/BMS for under what I ordered 280k ver3 last year once shipping and DDP is factored in.

Asking to verify if these are the Eve MB31, I really enjoy my 289k ver3 and the dual threaded terminals (despite others having issues from other vendors) not sure if I want to jump into a new cell.

I don’t really have a desire for the added capacity of 315 vs 280, but I’m sure it’d be nice as long as the cells are all they are cracked up to be.

The busbar has been tinned since at a minimum the beginning of this year. I suggest buying the BMS from her, it will come with much of it pre-assembled.

I got my last batch of cases & cells last fall. Cells were EVE LF280K V3 (dual terminal).
Those packs are super good (matched & batched) even when at 11C temp.
I used the laminated flexible busbars provided between the cells. The X-Bar was not tinned so I just covered it in Heat Shrink wrap.

Other cases were ordered with the copper mesh bars (which I also put heat shrink wrap on) as these were used for LK280, LF280N & K series cells...

Amy is constantly updating per user feedback (if reasonable and helpful).

Just pulled the trigger. Ordered two 16S cases in white, no BMS, and a blank front panel. I plan on using my existing Batrium K9 and creating a custom front panel. Still deciding on which pass though connector I'm going to use.

What cells did you snag?

I've had my cells for a few years. Lishen 150's - They are nearly exactly 1/2 the depth of the 280's so hopefully it works out. If I have to use some spacers on the compression plate, then so be it. I plan on doubling my capacity once my panels are up on the roof and going with the EVE LF280K's probably, but I wanted all my enclosures to match.

Well pulled the trigger, we’ll see what happens with DDP once it actually ships, even if it’s another $100 or so, prices would be on par what I paid last year but I’m getting MB31 cells.

She didn’t have an eta on 280k cells or any cells that had dual hole threaded terminals. Hopefully quality will still be the same.

Fingers crossed everything is delivered and in service before mid June.

i guess we might be cell mates (sharing the same batch) as mine shipped on the 25th March after receiving her new stock of MB31 from EVE... my cells test report doesn't have ocv1, ocv2 , Ri1 and Ri2 data and only has ocv3/Ri3 data ... i asked her about this and she said that sometimes EVE only ships with ocv3/Ri3 data ...

I’ll have to check back with you end of the month how you like your mb31.
