Luyuan battery case

I think I am going to mount the power ins on top of the cabinets and make a cover out of sheet metal to cover the 1/0 DLO cables. Only downside is I am going to need more 1/0 DLO cable.

Packages arrived in Chelmsford MA (40 min away) yesterday around 1pm, sat there all day today, no movement further, had my hopes up of them arriving a day early. Oh well.

Looky looky!!! Eff yeah boys, all delivered. Some of the boxes have some dents, so we’ll see how the mb31 cells look in a bit.

When I asked if the UPS driver needed anything from me like a signature or something else, she said nope and was gone.

Order placed on 4/3 delivered 5/29. No added fees requested after order was placed.

Good thing that the US Courts completely & totally keiboshed all that Tariff Nonsense yesterday. People have indeed reported receiving Tariff Invoices after receiving the packages, and it is extremely unlikely that they will be refunded the monies if they paid them. Be aware of the situation unfolding and do not rush to pay any "supplemental invoices" until stuff is settled properly through the Judiaciary.

I ordered 18 280AH grade A cells with new two hole terminals matched and batched from Amy. With shipping and transaction fees I paid $1920.77.
Simple question, I notice you ordered 18 batteries, is there a spare or two in that number? I was wondering if I should order a spare, what's your opinion?

I always order spares. You never know if one will be damaged in shipping. Or if there will be an issue with one of the batteries you receive.
I have ended up with enough extras to build a 12 V battery for another project.
And I keep a few extra the matter what.

I ordered the same number with the expectation that one might not survive shipping or one might be weaker than the other cells. Turns out that all 18 cells were as near perfect as they could be. Picking the final 16 could have been done at random but I used the IR test results to go with the best ones. That two spares were so close to the other IR that I could have used them and never noticed an issue.

Amy sells good stuff.

My shipment of two Luyuan boxes should be here within the next 30 days. No FedEx notification yet.
However, I believe I will put them up for sale on the forum when the arrival at my door for any interested parties.
I’m expanding to 8p and only two will have these boxes when they arrive…
I already have my two new sets in my aluminum fixture plates cut and drilled for the two new packs.
Located in the southern US just in case. Not interested in shipping these.
I will post here when they arrive and show condition.
I will list in the forum for sale section afterwards.

Thank you to you and Shawn Hayes, I think I will order 20 since that's an extra 12V battery, that I can build first, and possibly screw up, and either way, have a few spares.

OK, I have seen "Amy" mentioned many times, but I have no idea, is Amy a distributor we can order from?? Please let me know.

I can get Expert Power 304Ah "A" cells from Amazon for about $110 each, does that seem about right? All this talk of Amy has me thinking I might be missing a better source.

Amy is with Shenzhen Luyuan Tech on Alibaba.
She’s great and easy to deal with. Great quality LiFePo4 cells.
On March 4 of 2025 I order 36 (304ah) cells shipped DDP (to my door) from China (Amy @ Shenzhen Luyuan) for $2774.00 ($77 each with shipping included)
Order took about 45 days to arrive.

NOTE: I ordered 36 cells, only needed 32 to make two, 16s configurations. Therefore I had four extra. As noted above, I always order extra cells no matter what.

All (almost) Asian player present themselves as "manufacturers" .If you look in our resources section you will see datasheets of actual mfgs.
Expert Power would be a reseller, are they honourable and correct in descriptions -no idea.

Amy can be found here:

The forum has no affiliation with Amy's company. It's just us forum members that have bought from her that are making the recommendation.

I forget how to start a conversation with her on alibaba messenger, but I believe she communicates via email as well.

I chatted with her, got the order details all to my liking she then created a custom order via alibaba listing all the pieces and parts, and then just paid through alibaba payment system and Pay Pal.

Last year I got 280k ver3 I tried to get those this year but she only has mb31 in stock and so far reviews of those cells seem to be good, and her test reports showed 330ah capacity.

Link above and start a chat.

I'll do that if I don't get an email, I just feel odd with 'chat' balloons, is this a real person, a random person, am I disturbing the person at bad hours in their time zone? This is why email feels right to me, more respectful, they will get the message when they are ready. But, I guess I'm an old timer in many ways, but I guess I have to try to live in this century!

Thanks!

She keeps long hours. Surprised how quickly she responds sometimes. Helpful to remember that she is on the other side of the world and sometimes there might be a delay in her response.

I have made multiple purchases from her and she has always been helpful. She is also very good at providing assistance and support after the items have been delivered.
