Cut out a bad cell 1 and spliced in a good one from a doner pack. Used 2" ratchet straps to recompress the pack and I tied them down with commercial net cord (technically called no stretch hard lay gangen twine) using what I've always called a double pulley truckers knot. You can get things incredibly tight using it. Did two per side of the pack. Also used a bit of superglue to hold the end hitch knot in place.
Found the best thing to cut the bus bars is sheet metal snips. Tried cutting with a dremel, and cutting with a angle grinder but the snips work the best by far.
The splice bar is from the 3" copper strip that goes along one side of a unmolested pack.
You gotta be really careful bending the tabs back or you'll pull it right off the posts. I saw the first one start to pull away so I held it in place with a 1" chisel and it bent cleanly then.
