Magnetic Panel Mounts

Has anybody tried magneticly mounting solar panels to their roof?

I have a steel roof that I don't want to put (more) holes in. Am wondering if anyone has tried these and if so do they hold up in very high winds?

Would love to hear some experience/feedback from those who have attempted. What mounts did you use?

If you have a standing seam roof you can get mounts from S-5. There are no holes, but they make a mechanical connection rather than just magnetic.

Those magnets look cheap and will rust over the years. If you are just doing a panel or 2 then OK but for the real deal you need real panel mounts.

You might be right about them rusting over the years. I'm going to test it out on a shipping container first.

My roof is exposed-fastener, but looks like S5 has brackets for that too. Not cheap though.
