main 100a breaker fail

Wow... just, wow.
Wht
Y so many panels?
Its a 4000 sq ft house that a daycare center had rented. They had run new wiring for window ac's in all the rooms plus the industrial equipment in the kitchen area. This kept them from having to fool with the wiring that was there from before the 1950's. They just kept adding and adding.

Its been interesting figuring some of the stuff out but at the same time its made adding solar a breeze :)

I "love" the outdoor exposed NM-B cables. That's awesome, in a scary way.

Though I do know from my brother's experience that romex outdoors will last a surprisingly long time. The previous owner of his previous house literally hung 12/2 between the house and the garage, off the eves of the house and the garage, and it had been that way for years, and was still intact. I think the yellow color on the jacket was caused by the sun and not original yellow 🤔 🤪

I imagine that wiring has been like that since the mid 70's. My great grandmother had sold the house to the city in 1971 or so. I bought it back from the city about 6 years ago.
