Making 4/0 cable with loose strands

Maybe 8 or 10 of the hundreds of fine strands in one cable didn't play nice. How much heat will that generate? Too much?

Is it ok to use a cable if I spudged the dirty (almost) dozen tight around the base of the lug and covered it all with heat shrink?

EDIT: Found a good read on crimping on hackaday, but still need to know if this cable is safe with a few 'hairs out of place'. Thoughts?

Couple of escaped strands from hundreds has neglible effect on current carrying capacity and the only possible problem is short-cirtuits woth strands getting to somewhere unwanted. You don’t need to worry about that After covering the joint with heat shrink.
