"Max Battery Volts" question on Rover 100 Charge Controller

I have a Rover 100 charge controller. I use the app to monitor the controller. In the top right corner of the app you can access the settings and history. Under the history, you can see the readings for different things about what the system is doing daily. My question is about "Max Battery Volts". I will use September, for example. Out of 30 days, most of the days say the Max Battery Volts is 13 volts to 14 volts. There are three days that have a different reading. One day is 32.4 volts, another day is 31.5 volts, and one more day is 20 volts. Here's my question. Why is it, on random days, the Max Battery Volts are spiking to these high numbers and is this a dangerous situation when the battery volts spike? Is it doing damage to the battery? Is there a potential for a fire? I have several fuses and breakers to protect everything. Still, I don't want to burn down my barn. Thanks in advance for your help.

Had rover - one of my first MPPTs. Those random high “Max Battery Volts” readings are almost certainly data glitches in the Rover app rather than real voltage spikes — if your system were actually hitting 20–30 V on a 12 V battery, the controller or fuses would trip immediately. It’s not dangerous or damaging if everything else looks normal and the lights, fuses, and cables show no issues, but it’s smart to keep monitoring and maybe update the firmware or reinstall the app to clear any logging errors.
