Thirsty for Off-Grid Knowledge
I have been slowly building my system.
Started with 1 panel and a long cable with an MC4 connector attached.
Then added a second panel, and thus had to buy a pair of MMF/FFM to connect them parallel.
NOW...About to add a 3rd panel.
Question is, I will most likely end up adding 1 more panel in the end.
Rather than buy a 3-Panel connector set (MMMF/FFFM), I'm wondering if it's OK to buy a 4-Way connector right away and just leave 1F and 1M "Unplugged until I get the 4th panel?
Not sure if the open/exposed port that's not being used is an issue, and if so could I put everything inside a water-proof junction box?
Otherwise I'll bite the bullet and buy a 3-way. Figured I'd try to save a few bucks and not waste an MC4 connector.
Any feedback would be great. Thanks!
