What we guerillas need is a spec for what smart meter reports. Does it log and report net export over one cycle of 60 Hz? Over one second or minute?

Non-1.0 PF loads like capacitor or inductor (including transformer with no load on secondary) export power for 1/4 of a cycle. VFD with regenerative braking and elevators can export for a period of time.

The question is what we can get away with.

They told me no, couldn't do that either. . Granted I was talking to field people. It's a small coop.

I did ask them about this, and everyone I talked to seemed clueless. I am deal with Puget Sound Energy, which is pretty large. They just sent me through the online portal to start signing up for their sell back agreement. I started it, and then they said my rate plan wasn’t compatible, and the process was long for something I wasn’t interested in doing anyway. That’s when I threw the towel in on any A/C coupling.

This inverter does not have true off grid mode where the grid relay is OPEN until it needs to bypass?

If you or midnite are trying to make this work with the grid relay is CLOSED.. that’s not a recipe for success

With the talk of 500W offset that sounds like grid relay is CLOSED
