Update: These look more like "shades" built into the window...but how hard could it be to adjust solar reflectivity?

@MurphyGuy reports saving $467 per year by just cleaning the refrigerator coils and dehumidifier in the basement. He did the detective work using an Iotawatt (https://iotawatt.com/).
