Hello

We setup our system to power a farm market & small kitchen. Started off with 2 xw pro, but got 4 more to have 3 phase stacked configuration.

I currently have 2 EG4 PowerPro WallMount batteries ( each 280Ah | 14.3kWh)
To increase the storage, ordered EG4 LL-S Lithium Batteries Kit | 30.72kWh | 6 Server Rack Batteries

1.
What is the best way to physically connect them.
Researching on this, using a common DC bus is the most common option. Victron Energy Lynx Power In is a good option, but max out atr 1000A. Is a custom bus bar the best option? can you please give a good resource or recommendation for building one, which is future proof. Say, if we add one more set of 6 Server Rack Batteries.

2. I read somewhere EG4 PowerPro uses the same BMS as EG4 LL-S. Can I connect them together though battery COM port? Will they work as single unit, and distribute the load.

Thanks

I was told by SS Support that they are not compatible for communications. To answer your second point/question.

Thank you so much for the response. I have closed loop setup of PowerPro with my Schneider inverters. I am not sure how to integrate the EG4 LL-S into this. The inverter setup needs single DC bus. I wonder how typically this is handled. Thanks again

It is the same BMS and you should be able to parallel it up to your power pro batteries. Each Power pro battery has a 600 amp busbar in it and quite a few of us are using those instead of external bus bars, but do whatever you feel more comfortable with.

Your inverter(s) are only going to draw so much. The bus bars only need to handle that much.
Thank you. I ordered 4 more XW pro, so 6 in total. So it will be 34.56 kVA continuous and 43.2 kVA peak in 3 phase configuration (120V). I am not so sure that I am calculating right, but looks like the mac current will be 360A (43.2 * 1000 / 120). Looks like thats not so bad :-) thank you so much for giving the pointer, I was worried the total amperage of the battery. I guess Victron power in would be a good choice then.

You should look up the max DC amps specification and use that.

Thank you.

This are the specs
XW Pro 6848 NA (120 VAC)
DC Current at Rated Continuous Power(Inverter Mode): 180 A
Maximum Charge Rate (Charger Mode): 120A

So for 6 inverters: 1080A

Victron Lynx Power In | 1000A
Current rating: 1000 Adc continuous

I am not sure I will be using all inverter at full rate, and do you know a better ready made solution? Though I prefer a premade one, If there is a guide to follow to custom build one, I would do that as well. Reading few of the threads in this group.

Thanks
