Moment dog sparks house fire after chewing power bank

I've had to replace cables and hoses that the cats have chewed on. They really went to town on the cables. Unfortunately, there was no karma for the cats. Hoses were replaced with braided hose, cables got a coating of hot sauce.

My old lab used to like to eat dry wall
She got her tongue into a receptical one time and I never saw her lick at the walls again.
Another chum had a dog that lied to chew too.
I saw the end of an extension cord he was chewing and I think that dog learned the same lesson

Cat at 3:34
best animal eats extension cord in Cinema..

When ever I see my dogs drinking.
I think of that lol

So what was that a USB power bank?

How the heck could chewing the lead of a power bank cause it to pop like that?

I think it must have had LiPo pouch cells within it, and a canine canine punctured one. It has to be that for it to have gone up so quickly, as a short circuit in the cable could have taken longer for the current to cause warming to reach the point of thermal runaway.

That was just a spontaneous spark, like you get from a punctured Lithium polymer cell.
