I'm interested in using a Growatt 5000 US to use solar to power my Mitsubisi heat pump but have. concerns with all the rumers on the grounding issue, etc. I currently run the pump directly from my main house panel via a dedicated 2 hot wire (L1, L2 and bare ground, no neutral) 230v connection and would like to save $ using solar via the 5000 us. I'm concerned about the safety of using only the 5000us given all the rumors and discussion regarding use of required transformers. I don't see why I can't feed my present 230v input to the 5000us and have it work as advertised direct from the above grid connection, pv input and/or battery. The feedback I get from signiture solar is inconsistant and confusing, stating I need their transformer for load balancing even though there is no need for a neutral or any other load to be used except for the heat pump. Any advice is appreciated.
