The original reliable MPPT for small solar installations. Great for outbuildings and mobile installations. Retails for $299. Buy this one for $75.
I've had this one in use for a few years. It has worked flawlessly.
12V or 24V auto sensing.
Can be programmed for LiFePO4 batteries with a USB adapter (not included).
Or it can be used as is for Flooded, AGM, Sealed, or Gel batteries.
Marine rated.

Morningstar’s SunSaver SS-MPPT-15L solar controller with TrakStar Technology is an advanced Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) battery charger for off-grid photovoltaic (PV) systems, up to 400Wp. The controller features a smart tracking algorithm that maximizes the energy harvest from the solar panels, and also provides load control to prevent over discharge of the battery.
The SunSaver MPPT is well suited for both professional and consumer solar energy applications, including automatic lighting control. It's charging process has been optimized for long battery life and improved system performance. This product is epoxy encapsulated for environmental protection, which may be adjusted by the user via four setting switches or connection to a personal computer, and has an optional remote meter and battery temperature sensor.

Maximizes Energy Harvest, Lower System Cost & Longer Battery Life - Morningstar's TrackStar MPPT technology features: peak efficiency of 97.5%, almost no power losses, recognition of multiple power peaks during shading or mixed PV arrays & excellent performance at low solar insolation levels. Converts 36V or 24V arrays, providing a means to use up to a 36V PV array to charge eitehr a 12V or 24V battery. Less expensive than other MPPT controllers and is affordable in smaller solar arrays up to 400Wp. Allows system costs to be reduced by down-sizing the PV array, using on-grid or thin film modules and decreasing cable sizes. Efficient MPPT tracking and four stage charging increases battery life.
Higher Voltage PV Arrays, Solar Panels & Reliability - Provides a means to use a higher voltage solar energy system to charge either a 12V or 24V battery. Enables the use of high voltage and thin film modules for off-grid battery charging. Efficient electronics, a conservative thermal design and tropicalization result in higher reliability and longer life.
Load & Lighting Control at a Smaller Size - Automatically disconnects loads when the battery has been discharged to a lower state of charge. Includes up to four programmable timer sequences for PV lighting applications using Morningstar's MS View Software. Mechanical dimensions of the SunSaver MPPT are less than other MPPT controllers, making it easier to install in equipment enclosures.
Personal Computer Connectivity - USB MeterBus Adaptor for laptop compatibility. PC MeterBus Adaptor for RS-232. Fully adjustable user selection via on-board pre set switches or customized with a PC connection. Advanced automatic custom programmable lighting control with a PC connection. Extensive charge controller and system data is provided by the status LED's and optional meter. Monitoring is also available with a PC. 30 days of internal data logging of key PV system operating parameters.
