Mounting panels over roof vent in garage

I have a roof vent on my garage that I installed myself 2 years ago which does help during summer months. It sticks out roughly 5" from the shingles.

I want to now install solar panels on this roof and was wondering if I should relocate this completely (not very easy, and may not look aesthetically good as this is in the center of the roof and roughly 2' from the top ridge) or just add solar panels on top of this vent. I am not sure how much clearance will be under the panels when I use xr-10 rails, and if this vent will heat up the panels further reducing the efficiency. Any recommendations?

I have the same vent, using Iron Ridge XR100 rails has plenty of clearance, the XR10 would be very tight

That's good to know. so with your xr100 you were able to keep this under the panels easily? do you know how much space will be there under xr-10 ? if the space under is close to 5" with xr10, I may be able to make it work.

Since it vents on the sides should be OK

So, I should have enough clearance to leave this vent in the place ? I can see the plywood and rafters from inside my garage, there's no insulation. i have never installed xr10 before so wanted to know if this kind of vent will be fine under the panels, or should i move it, or maybe buy a slimmer profile vent.

I can easily replace it with something like this. says height of 4" as compared to 5" for the one i have (the link in my original post).

Just heat from a garage I've only heard only thing don't want venting up under a panel is sewer gas maybe that was wrong information.

I used XR-100 don't know off hand the difference in height to XR10. If its not to much work the second one you linked would be good choice IMHO
