Hi guys

Hi

I want to use my solar with a tie grid inverter and if possible run it with my current off grid, but dont think thats possible.

I have been doing my research and using my 150w and 320w solar panels in a series I will have a total maximum circuit voltage of 62.9v.

The spec of the 150w panel spec is

The 320w panel is

Watt: 320Wp
Max Snow Load     5400Pa , 112lb/ft2
Max Voltage Vmp   32.76V
Cell Size   156x156mm
Nominal Current Imp     9.77A
Number of cells   60
Open Circuit Volts      40.60V
Frame Anodised Aluminium Frame.
Short Circuit Amps      10.23A
Diode Junction Box      IP67
Module Efficiency       19.19%
Length      1664mm
Max System Volts  1000VDC
Width 1002mm
Power Tolerance   0 , + 3Watt
Height      35mm,
Weight: 18kg
Max Series Fuse   15A
Warranty:   25 years
Operating Temp:   -40 oC to 85oC
Module Cables     4mm2 with MC4

I currently have the 2 panels separately going in to a off grid inverter which is a 1.2KW 12v Conversol brand, it would have been nice to link the panels up in series to the off grid inverter if it can handle it and to a grid tie so i get best of both worlds.

The inverter which I have seen is below, but I think its may be over kill for what I need? i need to consider DC isolation and ive already got a 240v electric junction box.

whats difference between such as one of these?

any advice and recommendations is appreciated.

Thanks

Lee
