I am adding solar and batteries to an off-grid cabin/trailer and have a question about the inverter and generator connections.
The existing generator and well is 300 feet down a steep rocky slope and running more cable would be very difficult and expensive. I have a pair of green LV2424's and need to know how to wire in the generator and well with the existing wire. Can I wire the generator into the load side of the inverter? What would happen if the generator and inverter are on at the same time? I could use a transfer switch as shown in the attachment but then I would not have neutral-ground bond when in the generator position. I could make a a N-G jumper cable that plugs into the F150 Gen receptacle but the system would be unsafe if someone ran the generator without the plug in place.
Any recommendations?
