MPP LV2424 - USB Drivers?

Just setup a MPP Solar LV2424 - and I'm loving it.

The unit came with two cables, one an RS232 to serial port, and the 2nd a USB cable that goes from the USB out of the LV2424 to the USB in on a PC.

Other's I see have acquired a serial port to USB adapter to connect the unit to the PC - I'd like to leverage the usb to usb cable as I dont have an adapter.

Unfortunately my PC (win10) doesn't recognize the device when connected to the LV2424. Has anyone been able to use the usb to usb cable and if so how?

I think the USB is just for communications with the unit using the Watchpower monitoring software. I don't think you need a driver, but you need the software. Check here https://www.mppsolar.com/v3/download/

Also remember: For watchpower to work, you must click the icon with the two people and type the password: administrator

Thanks - I ended up getting an rs232 to USB adapter, and WatchPower works with it. I just wish I could've used the existing USB cable provided without the adapter.

I must concede that I'm not sure why your USB cable isn't working....I have my LV2424 hooked up with the included USB B cable and it works just fine. Is there something I'm missing? Your computer really just doesn't recognize it? Strange... ?
