I've got an LV5048 from MPP Solar and using Battle Born batteries for an off-grid application.
The Watchpower software that comes with the LV5048 has an "Equalization" setting, but not an Absorption setting. I spoke to a Tech at Battle Born and he said to just use Equalization like you would Absorption, but use it once every 14 days.
However, I notice that if I don't go into Equalization for a bit during EACH charge cycle, I'm not getting 100% capacity in the batteries (as reported by the Watchpower software). And I definitely notice longer run time on the batteries when I do allow the Equalization to happen. Basically, it seems I'm not getting a full charge without Equalization.
OR - maybe it's that the batteries hit the "Back to Battery Power" set point during the charge cycle and at that point they're not really 100% charged yet.
Any thoughts?
