mppt vs pwm - which is more robust for occasional home backup use?

My application of off grid solar is for a small home backup in the event of a power outage to charge electronic devices/internet/mini fridge etc with <= 400W panels. To charge LiFePO4 batteries which seem to be the best option if used periodically and discharged/recharge every 6 months. Most of the reviews relate to the reliability for products being used all the time. Are there any opinions if mppt or pwm are more robust if they are stored in the basement for several months and used periodically? A small difference in efficiency is less important than making sure it can work the few times it will be needed. Thanks!

any good brand should be fine and the cheaper ones should be avoid.. i has paid 30$ for a new PWM Renogy which stop working few days later (and returned).. each time i buy something, i test/stress it now.. Mppt is better if your panels array voltage is higher than your battery voltage (because mppt do power conversion)!!
