Multiplus heat generation

I will be installing the Multiplus 24/3000. Does anyone know how much heat it normally generates while running? I am debating two different installation locations and and wondering what provisions I might need to make for a colder location.

Thanks

I was considering the prospect of building a battery box in the shed using mineral wool as the insulation. I was hoping the Multiplus would generate enough heat to keep things warm instead of a heating mat which would consume power.

I then found this resource on insulation. For my neck of the woods it is recommended to have a lot more insulation than space would permit.

It depends.

In "search" mode, or whatever Victron calls it, the inverter is generating almost no heat.

If it's ON it's wasting around 30 watts.

Inverters are approximately 90% or less efficient. So if your inverter is producing 1000 watts it's wasting 100 watts.

Those wasted watts are heat.

1 Watt is 3.41 BTU's
