My 44kW vertical and bifacial set in Finland plus now 15kW roof mounted too.

Got 1000L diesel from my friend because they accidentally transferred it with pump used normally pumping waste oil. It is black but should be ~99,5% diesel/~0,5% used motor oil but they can't use it in their equipment anymore. So bought Chinese 8kW diesel heater for 120e and going to install it in old horse stable where my "solar corner" is located. Now I keep the place around 13-15C with mini split, but it is struggling below -25C.

Got 0,9MWh September so can't complain because that's more than twice last year. Roof panels didn't do much as they were covered in snow when it was cold/sunny and when it was warm there was no sun to be seen, only thick grey clouds. Day is under 6h long now.

Two more months to get any decent/almost daily production. I'm waiting around 100kWh production today as there is fresh snow and supposed to be full sun all day, but days like these are really rare now.

Got some frost over my verticals this morning.

Can you do some timelapse videos from this view?

0,8MWh this month and while that's nothing to brag about out of 60kWp, it's twice compared to last December. Late July installed roof panels didn't help much as they are always under snow/ice. It has been warm and maybe even unusually sunny at least here. Because it has been so warm and sunny I needed to buy only 4MWh from PoCo. That can change soon, but now that winter solstice is over solar should ramp up fast too.

Got my CCS 2kW diesel heater working and heating old horse stable yesterday where my "solar corner" is also located. I did order 8kW unit at first but that never showed up and I got refunded. When ordering current one I decided to get smaller version as then it can be always on this time of year. Made also exhaust heat recovery system out of old radiator and it seems to work pretty nicely. At full chant it seems to be able to heat the whole 700m3 (25,000ft3) building down to -10C, maybe even -15C as I can get by with +12-14C indoor temperatures there. At least it will give minisplit easier times. Looking at it with naked eye maybe 5-6 liters of fuel was used in a full day. Surprisingly quiet.

Now it's time for sauna and swim, maybe taste of vodka on the side.

I'm making a bonfire outside, just grilled some burgers, I'll do some long exposure photography (the sky is clear and no more wind like yesterday), and then some Scotch. My wife put on the coffee just now and there is blueberry pie waiting :)

..and I almost made 1kWh today!

Hyvää uutta vuotta!

January got me 1,2MWh, bought only 3,2kWh and even exported 0,2MWh when spot prices were high. It has been exceptionally warm here and now that little 2kW CCS diesel heater takes care about 95% of all old horse stable heating with free diesel my January electricity consumption has never been this low.

Still I'd prefer colder, proper winter.
