We have a trucking terminal in Texas where A-holes are stealing trailers at night and we are renting a warehouse with no gates so I created this little beauty to help catch the pricks.

Got an installer going to mount a 6x6 post with a 425w panel.

It will have a Unifi PTZ camera and a 12v 30watt motion flood light.

I ran a no-charge test and it lasted 2.5 days before the BMS kicked out.

The whole system runs at 22w without the floodlight on.

I'll throw up some more pics once it is operational.

Any issues with overheating or mostly on at night?

Dunno yet, headed to Texas in a couple days. I'm thinking about doing a bottom vent as that is a good point. Texas can get HOT.

Is that the USW-Flex? I have run some of the Flex switches out in my workshop that gets ridiculously hot, it's an oven, and they have survived great. That said, I dunno how they would hold up in a box with zero ventilation. I might have considered one of those boxes that has weather rated vents.

I have spent way too much money on UniFi gear... I am -this- close to buying one of the PTZs just to play with.

Thanks for the tip! You may want to wait a bit for the PTZ's as they have a couple annoying bugs... I have 3 of them here at work and 1 of them constantly says the motor is stuck and wants to re-calibrate and never does, it's a known issue. It does work perfectly fine other than that, it track fine and zooms fine. It's weird.

Yes, they spoke about placing cameras on them but they don't want to compromise the shell as we haul expensive furniture. :(

I did find a manufacturer that provides us with real time solar trackers and they work awesome!

Damn, i just did almost the same thing but completely different.
Litime 24v 100ah battery
60w panel
Axis camera
Ubiquiti litebeam 5ac wireless link back to the office
Ubiquiti Solarpoint charger/switch (directly poweres the ubiquiti litebeam)
Tycon 2448 dcdc POE converter to power the camera (connected to 24v output on solarpoint)
it's pulling just 10.8w continuous.

using an inverter for this is wild but your efficiency isnt too bad.
your PV wattage is crazy, my 8 year old 60w panel charges it up well before peak sun, a 120w would do you just fine, may as well round it to 200.
