NEC2020 Workarounds?

The biggest issue I've seen for a non-compliant system is if you want to sell your place and then someone needs a mortgage to buy it. This in turn requires insurance and certain insurance companies may refuse to insure it based on the electrical system.

If power system is not mounted to house, just connected to it by a wire (maybe generator input plug), then if it gets tagged you can unplug and return cabin to previous state.

UL listed is a good thing. Known to be pretty safe, vs. presumed not safe in off-normal situations.
Approved to European standards would be an alternate pretty safe.

Batteries, some lithium ESS are UL listed, but expensive. Put your non-listed batteries in the equivalent of an ammo dump, so fire/explosion won't spread.
