Hello Guys:
I have a simple question in which I need your advice.

I am adding another Solar panel array to my setup but this array will be over 80' from the one I have now.

My question is, should I put the New Charge controller (MPPT) next to the array and run the output to the Control center OR should I run the array output to the Control center and put the New Charge controller there next to the other one?

Also, what size cable should I use? The new array is a small one using some old panels that I have. It is a 200 Watt x 24 Volts. Amps probably will run around 15A. Also this is a 15 Yr old system that I have.

any input would be appreciated.
THANKS!!!

I would put the charge cn9ntrollers near each other, and run the panels In series to the limits of your controller over the 80’ . The higher the voltage the less the loss. Also, regulated output at battery voltage 80’ away will be different at the batteries, causing problems.
