Update:

I ordered from Amy Wan of Shenzhen Luyuan.

$116 USD per cell
$90 USD Shipping

With flexible busbars, bolts, cell separators.

Seems to be good value.

Happy so far.

Ordering from EVE is only a good option if you want a pallet of 40+

They directed me to a corporate forwarder for smaller shipments in the US, but this seemed too risky.

At least with Alibaba the transaction stays on the platform.
Hi,
Can I ask what size cells these were? I'm also in Australia and looking to buy 8 cells from Luyuan too.
Cheers

Newbie here, and haven't ordered from Alibaba. Doing more research. From what I picked up reading through, looks like Luyuan is the only trusted seller in Alibaba, so if luyuan says its grade A, then it is grade A = EV grade?

Never heard otherwise.

Luyuan is exactly as people have said, they deliver exactly what is promised and stand behind their products. They may not be the "cheapest" out there but it isn't a roll of the dice either.

See multiple posts about getting test reports.
Keep in mind that test reports are useless except for if you believe they are legit and want to see how your cells tested.
Any company that would go through the effort of making fake QR codes can easily make fake test reports.

Faked test reports are extremely easy to verify, simply email the test report to doris[dot]liu[at]evebattery.com I have yet to see anyone do it. They respond in 24 hours, I have verified:

luyuan reports
sunfunkits reports
ezeal reports
batteryhookup reports
and if someone can send me 18650batterystore report I can verify that as well but I have no doubt it will come up as legit.

If scammers start faking test reports they are just going to make it even worse for themselves, clearly these people are in desperation mode I see post form alibaba sellers frequently on the forums now. Please buy buy buy. No list it as grade B and price it accordingly.

Long time coming but glad it finally has.

Is there an email address to contact Amy wan directly? I've already contacted her on alibaba, just want to be sure it's actually her. Doesn't have to be email i guess.

Thanks

I have bought from Amy (Luyuan) since 2020 and have bought over 200 cells all mixed from 230Ah, 280 and 304Ah over all these years. She has been so very kind and patient to not only deliver cells but also other electronics all from her place. For small quantities her company is highly recommended. She responds quickly and timely until the cells are delivered. No complaints!

Just to add in, I have been using these cells for both solar back up and small EV based on 48V which pulls over 200A current most of the time and peaks at 350A (which is huge) It has been performing really well for past 2.5 years so the quality is not compromised for sure. They were a bit expensive back then than the competitors but I am really happy by the battery performance. now the cells prices have fallen drastically and you couldn't be happier by their service.

Steve_S and Alkaline, I am currently contemplating to purchase https://www.gobelpower.com/ev-grade-a-eve-32v-280ah-rechargeable-lifepo4-battery-cell_p102.html from Gobelpower. How trustworthy is the company? So far, I don't see much review at this forum. Any opinion and insight from both of you?:)
well i clicked on the link and it was saying ¥608 per cell. for EVE 280's thats about $4.00 USD per cell so there website is not working well, at least not in english.

Great thread - for insightful.

Other resellers that have come recommended from off-grid garage are GobelPower and EEL Battery

unknown, I live in japan so they got the currency right, (yen), but might not have the actual calculator working properly for english language in japan... they might be thinking dollars or euro's or who knows what, but marking it as yen...

Shows up correctly routing through a Nord US server.

I contemplated gobel in the past, prices are tempting. I decided I'll buy from Amy if I oder cells from China directly.
