Hello, beginner here! I recently purchased and installed a cheap plug-and-play grid-tie inverter. I did it to learn and see it work. I wired it to a 15 amp single pole breaker in my shed subpanel just for practice.

I was feeling pretty good about myself so I purchased a big boy grid-tie inverter (sort of) Growatt Min 5000tl-x. I installed it and got a "AC out of range" error. All my tests showed 240 at 60 hz. The inverter even displayed the right voltage. I sent it back and the new one is doing the same thing. So I'm wondering if i have it wired wrong.

The plug it comes with has only 3 wires (L1, N, G). Tech support told me the N was the second leg. I wired it to a 30 amp 2 pole breaker with the G going to the ground bus in my box. Looks like my ground and neutral bus are bonded (buddy installed).

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
