Need help with battery not connecting

I got two lifepo4 batteries at an auction, Hybrid Power Solutions PT6.4kwh, 48v. I opened them up, they look solid, which they should for the price they are when new. One is at 54v the other at 44v. For the one at 44v, it will connect for about 30s before both electromechanical contactors disengage. For the 54v, the electromechanical contactors on the positive never engages.
Any ideas? Are they just bad contactors? At $150 each of like to be more sure about the issue before I buy new ones.
It's also tempting to just bypass them but without knowing more about the BMS don't think I'll go there.

The 44V battery needs to be charged first before drawing any conclusions. 44V is near the cut out voltage and it sounds like when a load is connected the BMS is doing its job and opening the contactors so as to prevent cell damage.

The 54V battery needs some testing of the Gigavac contactor. The BMS should supply 24VDC to the coil as per the label in the pic. Either there is no 24V to the coil or if there is, the contactor has failed.

I got the 44v battery charging now. Strangely enough it seems to have sorted is issue on its and is working as expected. The other battery, the contractor is getting voltage. I'll try switching it out with one from the first battery and see if that fixed it and confirm that I need a new contractor
