I love my SKYes! With a 4x scope on it, if I can see it, I can hit it. Ammo is still stupid though.

You are so far north in the UK.
Shorter winter days and rain....
I could see that being a drag.
A clean cover of snow does brighten things when the sun shines.
But the reflection of solar energy does cause local temperatures to drop more.
Trad off....

Ontario at 46 north I expect snow to hit the ground and stick in the next 20 to 30 days.
But recent weather has put the temperatures in the mid 20s
This is supposed to be a snowy winter we shall see if its a sloppy muddy one until the solstice

To ski or sit...
When you consider th3 amount of man hours that have gone into the development of a practical snow machine VS the ski.
I would prefer to sit and ride ....

You need some balance.
I don't like bears in my yard or wolves.
Now we have worse things

They have tried to bait my hounds into the bush right in front of me in morning.
Actually I prefer the bears..

I cant wrap my head around the snare thing.
I wont pass judgment on it.
Personally I think using a gun is a cleaner more humane way to put wild game on the table just to me.....

I agree and to make it worse cross bows, compound bows and even normal recurve are illegal to hunt with here

Crossbow gets to hunt deer for about the last 10 days of vertical bow season here, and then during late muzzleloader season. You need the muzzleloader permit to use a crossbow, because NY...

We are losing a ton of bowhunters who are in failing health and simply can't draw a vertical bow, there is some proposed law that would make it legal for 60+ to use crossbow during vertical bow season, the damn vertical bow lobby people are trying to get it to not pass..total lack of foresight for their selfish short term goals.
