The long slide into wokeitutudeanalization sure started a long time ago!
My generation bears a lot of blame. No accountability raising kids. Not all of us but enough. The internet, as much as I love it, changed the world in some negative ways too. There's a long list of people and things to blame, I reckon. Which doesn't change anything! But I'm still gonna bitch.I don't even know who to blame or be mad at anymore! Won't somebody please tell me!
Pretty much anyone over 100 years old...I don't even know who to blame or be mad at anymore! Won't somebody please tell me!
At least I can probably take them in a fight if they get mad when I blame them.Pretty much anyone over 100 years old...
Your post resonates with me.My generation bears a lot of blame. No accountability raising kids. Not all of us but enough. At his age why spoil the happiness? Maybe offer your trimming assistance.
You've already moved to the bullet economy where you are? Have things come to this so soon? Two of them were sorta split…when his tree guys showed up I said to them , go ahead and whack the fallen ones and I’ll give ya a box of 100 9mm rounds if you will whack the other two..and make em disappear…
I'll be 69 in less than a month. So ... middle aged.Your post resonates with me.
I have no idea which generation you are talking about, but it could apply to quite a few of them.
The internet is a pile of stinky fish. We might have been better off overall with newspapers, magazines, corded phones and a dial on the tv set. I look back fondly on the pre-internet days.. (he says while wasting time on the internet).
edit.. although, I think it might be "smart" phones that did us in.
Watch those old folks. They will pop a cap on your ass in a heartbeat. At least I can probably take them in a fight if they get mad when I blame them.
I'm still in my 40's. Is that you dad!?I'll be 69 in less than a month. So ... middle aged.
The story I could tell about that ...I'm still in my 40's. Is that you dad!?
Yeah…. … bullets will always be a first tier product… have been here in the states for a 150 years or more… like chainsaws, they can solve a lot of of problems quickly… not much can replace em when needed..You've already moved to the bullet economy where you are? Have things come to this so soon?

And I agree that ignorance is not an issue, but stupidity is.
I may have to watch that movie, but it's pretty scary due to those truths you mentioned. There's a movie about that. There are some truths to it.
Here's a clip from the movie.
... and a pallet of CHEAP panels came in around $9800. I thought that was allot, even with the really cheap 8k worth of panels. ($.10 per watt).
Wow.. that’s so many zeros I can’t figure out how cheap they are.. is that like almost free..?You should have bought like Ghostwriter, $0.00225/W
under $1 eachis that like almost free..?
I would consider that free , unless they are trying to clip me on shipping…under $1 each
I am hoping so. It would be painful to see some of this equipment go for less than what I paid for lunch today.
well I cant beat that deal. Mine have cracked glass but they make full power. You should have bought like Ghostwriter, $0.00225/W
In reality it's always been "every child held back".These people are the product of "no child left behind" policies, incorrectly implemented. Instead of making the effort to teach them, they just pass them through to be someone else's problem.
America has it better than many might imagine. In Thailand, it is illegal to be registered at more than one educational institution simultaneously, and it is simply not possible to accelerate, such as by completing the first two grades in one year (as I did). I've not heard of such things here as CLEP tests or honorary degrees. One must bide one's time in the system to get every advantage. It's all part of the culture of respect toward one's elders--those of higher status, and teachers, of course, rank highly (despite low pay).In reality it's always been "every child held back".
What reason there could be to declare offgrid systems illegal?America has it better than many might imagine. And "grid tie," the subject of this thread, is next to impossible to do here legally. Very rarely the government will open a window for applications--but it's been years, I think, since this happened except for large solar farm construction. Unless, of course, you have the wherewithal to grease the right palms...maybe then you might succeed. Of course, one can always go the "on the sly" route...but if the meter reader catches it, well, ....
