I have a 16s configuration folded in half to make 2 x 8 cell battery banks. I have built a cabinet that will be screwed into the boat able to take the weight of these two assemblies. Each assembly can be pulled out of the housing for inspection.
If I use a modified bussbar or 8” cable I cannot inspect the banks individually.
Can I connect the two banks with a long cable that will let me pull out one with the other in place? If so what size?
The bms cables will be long enough to allow individual bank inspection.

Each bank is 80lbs

thanks in advance

If you're running 16s, then a long cable will mess with your BMS as it'll add too much inductance to the link and the BMS will not be happy.

Just add an access panel up top for access so that you can disconnect the busbar/cable before pulling them out.
