I was planning to wait a while before building a battery bank for my home system but it looks like I'm going to have to move on this faster than I planned.

Is Luyan still the most reliable vendor at the moment? What's the consensus on BMSs these days? I use a JK on my camper battery but I've been having issues with it keeping its configuration. I really like the app that goes with JK, but I'm fine with changing if there is a better BMS. I'm planning on getting 40 314 ah cells, running 2 48v banks in parallel. I'm using Solar Assistant now and I have integrated it with Home Assistant, so that's another consideration with the BMS.

The 8 cells that are left over will be for my newer, bigger bank for my camper.

I will need a rack of some sort to put the cells in. I was planning on buying 3 of their boxes too. 2 for 48V and one for 8 cells configured as a 12v. If I put the battery as close to the EG4 as possible I would only have 3 feet of height to put my bank in. If you have ideas about a rack or table, that would be great. I see a lot of people end up with racks that have casters. I'm on the fence about that, if you have opinions I'd love to know them.

Thanks for your input on this.

Edit: I should have mentioned that I'm going to add another 18 panels this winter bringing me to 20.9 Kw of solar.

I built 2 2x6/2x4 fire resistant wood boxes with casters and have them sitting under my 18kpv (each box was about $100 without bms/fuses and such). I need to put some sort of outer casing on them so they don't look like raw 2x wood. One goal was to make sure there was no large pieces of metal (ie the typical battery box) that could possibley damage a wire and short something.
