New EG4-WP 48100

I picked up 2 of the EG4-WP 48100 batteries recently with the upgraded 200amp BMS. To my surprise when I opened the box, there's now what appears to be a communication port between the terminals. I called Signature Solar to inquire about the change and they stated that there's no function for the port as of yet. I'm wondering if this was merely a result of the last BMS change or if this was the result of people having issues with the battery not coming out of protection and they needed a back door to reset it. Anyone have any additional information about this or have an idea of which BMS is being used in this application?

Help! My batteries went into protection mode and won't reset. Is there a way to reset without a charger? I'm out camping in my RV and don't have access to a charger.
