What's new:

1. The communication protocol name pylon changed to PYLON.

2. Newly added TBB communication protocol.

3. The battery SOC setting strategy has been optimized. The specific strategy is as follows
1) Standby mode: voltage>=3.45V*(Number of cells connected in series), Lasts for 15 min, limit SOC to less than 100%.
2) Charging current <3A, voltage>=3.45V*(Number of cells connected in series), Lasts for 30 min, limit SOC to less than 100%.
3) The charging status has not reached the high voltage warning or the total high voltage warning, SOC>=98.5%

What is standby mode?
3.45v (x16) is a hard-coded value?
Limit SOC to less than 100%, or set SOC to 100%?
Can the BMS measure charge current of 3A now? It used to not read current that low.

As always the Seplos documentation leaves me with more questions than answers.

Because my middle name is danger, I upgraded today to bring the BMS up to firmware version 1.4. Everything seems fine so far. It will be awhile before I get enough sun to top it up to check on any SOC behaviour.

Standby mode is just that - no charge/discharge. Front LEDs go out, BMS Studio says:

Measurable current seems to go as low as 0.42 in or out. I don't think this has changed from V1.3.

I received two 208Ah Seolos batteries a week ago. They haven’t been installed but I’ve connected to them with Battery Studio. They came with 1.4 firmware.

Perplexity tells me there is an absorption timer and a float voltage but I’m pretty sure it’s hallucinating. There’s nothing like that in the parameters.

I’ve tweaked a bunch of the parameters but have set almost all of them back to the defaults as I’ve researched each one and discovered my understanding was inadequate.
