Hello to all the solar enthusiasts out there.
My story so far:
I started out getting a refurbished Bluetti AC70.. at the time I was just planning on using it for portable power while camping.
That's not what I ended up using it for though. Lately I have been using it to either power my computer during peak power times, and also powering an induction cook-top, and using it to cook dinner (also during peak energy price times).
Then, I decided I needed more capacity and got 2x 100Ah Wattcycle batteries to crudely hook into series and recharge the bluetti. The more deeply I dove into the subject, I realized that just hooking batteries in series, and plugging in skinny wires was dangerous.
That, coupled with the fact that the 900 watts that I can pull from the Bluetti just wasn't enough... I wanted to use the 1500w setting on my cooktop. This led me in the direction of building my own solar generator DIY box.

So I've been gathering the materials, and have decided that it is best to share what I am doing with more knowledgeable folks to make sure I don't burn anything down, or electrocute myself. Or god forbid... spend more than I need to (too late BTW). 🥺

Should I create a thread about my box build in the "Show and tell" section, or should I stick to the "Beginners Corner" for maximum engagement?

Thanks, I look forward to geeking out on this subject with ya'll

I finally got my replacement panel. It'a a calsun 200w bifacial. It seems to be functioning well.

I've got most all the parts required to begin constructing a DIY solar generator box using 2x 100Ah LifePo4 batteries, and a 2000w inverter... along with fuses, and panels... etc.
I'll be starting a new thread in the beginners corner for my box build, Hope to see you there. Thanks for reading
