So I purchased 4 jk-b1a8s10p bms from different sellers. One of them for some reason had a part number jk-b1a8s10pr. What does the r stand for. Bms has extra connection on the bottom and came with extra cables. See pictures. What's it for.

Good question. Could be for heater, for temp sensor, for RS485, for a screen, for an on/off switch, and more. Maybe someone with this specific BMS will answer for you.
Just sounds like you have an R at the end of one of them.

Cable Set: This generally comprises several cables of varying lengths, including:
Balance Wires: Approximately 75 cm in length.
Temperature Sensor (NTC): Around 40 cm long.
Active Switch: Typically about 15 cm in length.
Heating Cable: Included only with BMS models equipped with heating functionality.
On/Off Switch: A switch used to control the power state of the BMS.

H is heat
C is can bus/rs485

If i had to guess it is rs232...could be wrong... there is a decoder ring on their website

Searched it

  • H: Heating functionality
  • C: CAN bus communication
  • R: RS485 communication
