My new Maxoak Bluetti 2400Wh EB240 just arrived and I was surprised to find that it comes with a new AC charger that puts out 220W DC. The Amazon page still says that it comes with a 160W charger. Not quite as good as the 450-500W you can get from DIY solutions or solar, but I'll take the 37.5% faster any day.

I believe it is a bit bigger than the original and has a built in fan that I find a little noisy. I'm not sure if this is only for the EB240 or if it also applies to the 1500Wh original.

Mine also, and I was pleased to find that my Bestech 300W inverter works with the new charger as well!
That makes me beg an answer to:
I want to safely remove the pv input from bluetti to charge from my van's alternator on cloudy days

Can I disconnect the 7.9 mm plug without covering the solar panels 1st?

If so, how should I protect that possibly hot 7.9mm lead?

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to mention, just received my EB150 unit today, it still has the 168W adapter (42V @ 4A). The 220W would have been great!

I'll answer my own question. Yes, you can remove the plug, CAREFULLY, and immediately use a lockout device on that BARE 7.9mm lead, AND yes you can power the eb240 from your car's system with a bestech 300W pure sine inverter and bluetti's ac charger. I did it yesterday and the battery gained a full segment, while running a DOMETIC CX3-75 dual freezer/fridge.

Thanks wtj, I was curious as well.

All, My eb150 arrived Sept 30th with a wall charger 42 volts, 5 amps for 210 watt charge.... The fan does not run, and the battery does not charge along with no voltage at the male input for the battery. Its seems to be similar to NinjaDeathMonks' charger. However when I plug mine in all it does is flash green. Seems charger was produced in 2006?

All, I just want to close this thread out today. Today I received the same wall charger that came with mu eb150. 42 v @5amps 210 watts. It works just like I thought it would. Strange thing is one although identical seems to be produced in 2007. Oh well I now have a working unit.

I would also like to mention that this item was purchased through amazon. The order was fulfilled by Maxoak Direct. There was amazing communication between myself and them in order to resolve this issue. Every email sent was replied to within hours. I am very pleased with the resolution and promptness of this group...... and 210 watts so I cannot complain.
