New Possible Bug in EG4 18Kpv fAAB-2121

After the update did you perform a full system restart? Removing all power sources from the inverter and then turning it back on?

Can you also share your station name or S/N with us so we can look into this?
Yes. Complete shutdown and restart. I called and asked if SS could downgrade to 1A1A and they said that EG4 needed to provide the firmware, they did not have it available. I already DM'd the info.

Turn off generator boost and/or change up the current to be higher and see if charging changes.

You are charging at 4500 and 52 * 100 = 5200 so it may be the generator charging boost is confusing it. That is what I have seen before, there seem to be global settings (ie say charge current) and when there are multiple settings that can override that the last setting seems to win (ie it overwrites the main global setting with its value sometimes even when that one is not even currently active).

You may also want to change the pv priority charge current to something and then back to force its setting in (after turning off generator boost, ignore if you simply change the current on generator boost).
Good idea, I had almost no sun today so I could not test. I will try that next sunny day.

Shared Battery and how many aH capacity...assuming 0.5C charge rate. you have 205 amps shared between 2 inverters, is that correct? 200x52=10,400

Nope, same issue...

My system has done that sort of thing but I have 2 Flexboss units with a Grid boss. I am working with EG4 to try to ascertain the nature of my issue.

Have you tried 0 sell back?

We are trying the previous firmware to see if that resolves it. Are you using a Grid boss or combiner panel?

There seems to be some confusion on the correct setting for charge current limit. I have had people tell me it is a combined number and others it is a per inverter number. Mine will, when it is doing what it should, push 24kw to grid, it just is not always doing as it should. Like today it decided to push to grid for awhile without maxing out charge first.

I see you also have the same issue with the data or it looks like it. Your producing 10,361 watts and between all three outputs you add up to 12,000w with no loss accounted for. Or am I missing something? Is there another chart for the second inverter?

Combiner boxes. I do know that the 1A1A firmware on the 18Kpv works.

Eg4 can do the downgrade they just downgraded mine at 6pm. We will see if that resolves it. You just removed the GB firmware as a suspect as combiner boxes are dumb.
Agreed, I wish the Flex and Grid Boss were available when i was building it... :(

New twist... If the battery is at 100% then the sell back limit does strange things...

Set to 12KW:

I set it to 2KW:

I set it to 1KW:

I set it to 0.5KW

Set it back to 12KW:

Looks like it may be multiplying by a factor of 2.5 ?

Should the power be flowing to Consumption Power or EPS? I remember a while back it was reading on EPS.

EPS is only non-zero if you have a critical loads panel AND the grid is down or if you are using off-grid mode (the grid is relay down).

Otherwise it always shows as consumption.

There are only 2 CT's installed on the master inverter. No micro's only 2 x 18Kpv's. No AC coupling.

CT's installed as diagram described:
