My system is a Renogy 800 watt solar with (4) 200ah batteries and (4) 200watt solar panels.
My inverter is a Renogy 3000.
This is power for off grid cabin with a 240v well pump.
Currently have a propane Honda 6000wat generator with 240 for the well pump.
My questions are :
My inverter only sends 3000watts of power into the camp ? yes or no
I believe the answer is yes .
I currently run the generator to charge the batteries when necessary and to power the well pump for showers and dishes.
Do I need a min of 3000watt generator to charge batteries or can I charge batteries with my small 2200wat Honda.?
Does the size of the generator matter when charging batteries? I think it may not matter.
Ideally I would like to get a large 5500 watt inverter generator that is quite and runs on propane. I currently need the large generator for the well pump which is loud.
I would like to use the small Honda for the batteries which is nice and quite.
Thanks
