My system is a Renogy 800 watt solar with (4) 200ah batteries and (4) 200watt solar panels.
My inverter is a Renogy 3000.

This is power for off grid cabin with a 240v well pump.

Currently have a propane Honda 6000wat generator with 240 for the well pump.

My questions are :
My inverter only sends 3000watts of power into the camp ? yes or no
I believe the answer is yes .

I currently run the generator to charge the batteries when necessary and to power the well pump for showers and dishes.

Do I need a min of 3000watt generator to charge batteries or can I charge batteries with my small 2200wat Honda.?
Does the size of the generator matter when charging batteries? I think it may not matter.

Ideally I would like to get a large 5500 watt inverter generator that is quite and runs on propane. I currently need the large generator for the well pump which is loud.

I would like to use the small Honda for the batteries which is nice and quite.

Thanks

Depends on the charger.

Depends on the batteries and the charger. Batteries are rated for a given charge current. You should not exceed that.

Generators produce less power on propane due to the lower energy content of propane. I just bought a Westinghouse 5800W dual fuel genny, and it only outputs 4800W on propane.

Inverter generators tend to have lower surge capability than traditional generators as they do not rely on the intertia of the rotating engine to absorb/offset the higher load. They must supply it purely electronically, and they usually lack a big transformer like is present in low frequency inverters can can provide 2-3X rated power for several seconds to deal with electric motor surges.

Again, depends on charger and batteries (chemistry, capacity and ratings).

Lastly,
