Hi I'm from Eleuthera one of the islands in the Bahamas. I want to start with a 100 watt system to power a few lights and charge cell phones and tablets. Eventually I want to move up to a 400 watt or larger system to power a fridge and the other stuff. I've watched a few www.YouTube.com videos and got lots

Welcome to the forums. Starting small and learning can be a lot of fun.

I would guess that shipping like truck freight delivery would be expensive for you. Large panels (250-400watt) offer advantages but shipping can be too much. You might want to keep your eye open for any large used panels that someone locally might be replacing. A used panel or two might serve future needs and be cheap....if you can find some.
