Hi All! hoping you can help! Just had a 15.75kwh solar system installed on roof with (2) Solaredge 7600 inverters, one of which is a "Storedge". Looking to building my own LifePo4 battery but am such a novice... and understanding the components, their function, and proper sizing/calculation is quite overwhelming. Ideally I would like a 30kwh - 60kwh battery, of which would roughly account to 1 - 2 overnights.

I am considering these right now, but in general looking for help with understanding calculations of sizing.

So, if i bought these batteries, would this equal roughly 64kwh? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003093747155.html?spm=a2g0o.placeorder.0.0.5463321eFXYgQm&mp=1

i did the (AH*V)/1000, so (310*64 cells)*3.2/1000= 63.488kwh

orrrrr did I mess that up?

and then i am pretty sure I can use videos and such for the wiring, but what about a BMS? Should i put them in 12v series?

Just so lost.

Did you check out the store?

Ok fair, that wasn't really the point though. However I have seen many listings within the price range recently, so is that not legit, or could they be coming down in price?

All that is scam. Even a not so decent GRADE B cell costs almost twice as much.

About StorEdge:
"The solution is based on a StorEdge single phase inverter which manages solar production, consumption, storage, and backup power, and is compatible with the high voltage LG Chem RESU 10 battery."
The same old problem. All Grid-tie based systems need High Vdc battery solution.

A short look (https://www.solaredge.com/sites/default/files/se_storedge_three_phase_inverter_datasheet_de.pdf) at the Storedge shows a 48V battery voltage - therefore I think a 16S configuration would be appropiate.
I'm not sure what requirements the Storedge has regarding communication with the battery.... this could be a problem for a DIY

Hmmmm, strange and new. I like it.
I know there is the SAJ H1-6K-S2 that also accepts 48V battery. Already seen one with Pylontech.
Just want to check the StoreEdge ... but the solaredge designer seems to strike

OK found it.
SE5K-RWS / SE7K-RWS / SE8K-RWS / SE10K-RWS
Really 48V battery. Interesting.
But this are EU models.

For US I could only find like SE6000H-US / SE7600H-US that uses the high Vdc battery.

Yes i have two of the SE7600H-US, however only one of them is “storage” ready.

If you go for the cheapest price, you will get what you pay for.

I have experience with this company (as do many others), and you get what you pay for.

Could you explain, what is a "high VDC battery pack"?
Of course. This are 3-400Vdc batteries .... is. These batteries are directly connected to the inverter main DC bus.
Not the 48Vdc batteries like we build from cells. And with a lot of circuits.

I wrote in details from a LG RESU10H battery dissection in this post (with pics)

Check feedback history. Not a single big cell sold.
It screams scam ...

You can check Amy's prices or here is Dongguan for 16pcs $2,480.50 + shipment.

And they are legit.

Yes, seller is creating a false ultra fast track for the package that also testify package was delivered and AliExpress will not refund you the money.

There are hundreds of FAKE stores and you will never get the product and also you will not get the money on refund because AliExpress will show it to you that the package was delivered and the first problem identified was the TIME and HOUR that was the same on all locations. Se below just a small list of the hundreds of FAKE battery stores :

Wish I would have seen this before I ordered. The equivalent of 8 BattleBorn batteries $8k, was $360 shipped. It said DHL shipping which should have taken 1 week. Instead I got the 17track link.
Update: The $360 of batteries are on sale on Nov 11 for just $224 with free shipping. It is enough to make a 24V 400AH pack.
