hello! Im currently a green as it gets with solar energy but the idea of renewable energy gives me butterflies and i want to expand. My current set up is for my green house. Currently I have successfully hooked up a 17.2V 40w panel directly to a 12v 25w fan. I want to had a water pump, they one im looking at is 12v 3.4w. Im also looking to add a timing mechanism to it so i can water my plants. Im looking to add another 55 watt panel just for the pump. My question is what timer would work best and how can I make sure I dont give too much voltage to either system, im wondering about connecting the two if possible without frying everything? Is there a way to give the water pump an on and off switch that I can turn it on when Evers? PS im in AZ I get roughly around a solid 6-7 hours of direct sunlight. Also if anyone could explain to me the V,W,Amp a little better so I can gauge what each panel can safely run. Thanks so much in advance
