Hello,
So, the Sun GTIL inverters, they're great in that they can take PV or a battery, connect to a breaker in your panel, and come with zero export CT clamps. There's no need to have a separate loads panel installed, and they're budget friendly. If you want to offset generation to non sun hours you just add a SCC and batteries instead of going direct from PV to the GTIL. So many wins!
On the downside they're also quite sensitive to their environment and prone to a short life, anywhere from months to a couple of years, with fan, mosfet and other failures commonly occurring if not in the perfect indoor environment.
Has anyone found a more reliable inverter with the same features that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?
