Nice new Overkill 100A 8s 24v BMS .... now what ?

Hi Folks,

I have a Overkill 100 Amp 8s 24v running, it's a JBD-SP 10S009 unit and its working great so far ......
I use the Bluetooth adaptor plugged in to the Comm Port on the BMS and when I load up the app on my phone (Ver 1.5.7) I can see what's going on of course.


However I want to get it running on my computer and log everything so if I go download this from the Overkill website:

Desktop App with password reset tool: Overkill-Solar-bms-tools for Windows (Download latest release package, unzip and run)​

And then go buy this from the website as well:

USB Module for BMS​

Am I pretty much good to go? I like the Bluetooth module but I want to leave the interface up on the computer screen full time so I can see what's going on
at a glance, rather than having to grab my cell phone and having to connect tall the time.

Is that pretty much what I need?

Just make sure when you try connecting that you select the proper com port for the usb adapter on computer in the app

Oh yea ....... you bet ! Thanks! I just ordered the module from Overkill for $11 bucks and "only" $28 for shipping!! (grin)
